The Lost Memoirs

Indian traditions are the soul and essence of our country’s cultural memory – they highlight the unique integrands that have together, over centuries, formulated the unique Indian culture that we so very proudly possess today. However, over time, the essence of these traditions themselves, have been lost under the label of “irrational and superstitious”. These traditions originally possessed a commendable degree of scientific relevance – they were made to benefit and sustain us, and our environment.
This strip of illustrations is a part of my series, “The Lost Memoirs” which is an attempt at bringing to light these lost traditions and the logic and profound knowledge upon which they were based. This one explains the logic and relevance behind the belief that cows are sacred animals and that worshipping them is fruitful to our lives in all respects.
